Klondyke BBQ to be featured at the 2017 HOP Regatta.
They are immensely popular and well known throughout the area. This year, they will be featured at the Head of the Pend Oreille Regatta Saturday BBQ. They are the Klondyke’s smoked ribs and chicken–better known as Bruno’s BBQ. The Saturday BBQ is new to the Regatta. In the past, the Friday Row-by included a wonderful BBQ prepared by HOP volunteer Gail Johnson. With the shifting of the BBQ to Saturday, a search for a fitting substitute was performed. The HOP Regatta committee thinks Bruno’s ribs and chicken will do the trick.
The BBQ will be held Saturday, September 30th beginning at 12:30p.m. at “The Mudhole”. The BBQ is between the two racing events scheduled at this year’s Regatta. In addition to the wonderful, tasty smoked ribs and chicken, corn on the cob, rolls and coleslaw will also be offered. More importantly, one part of the BBQ has not changed the Regatta signature COOKIES will be served.
